March 13th (Wed)
What a fun and busy day! Today the children had a lot of energy. They were very restless during Circle Time and had fun moving around and saying, “No! No! Noooooo!” I was very proud of them because even though it was difficult for them, they all stayed at Circle Time.
Little S. has been working hard on puzzles and her hard work has paid off. When she first tried the 9 piece puzzle it was very challenging for her and she took a long time. Today, she was able to complete it very smoothly. I. has been working hard on puzzles as well and it is fun watching them watch each other.
T. has gotten much more confident in asking the other two to play together. He often invites H. to look at a book together. Even if the other two say no many times, T. will still ask again the next time. He has good tenacity. It is exciting watching the three of them discuss who to play with and what activity to do next. Their social skills are improving so quickly!
A popular item at our school is the rubber band chain. Today I. decided to take it out by himself for the first time today. Because it is so popular, many students tried to play with it as well. I. was able to practice his assertiveness and get them to stop pulling it. Little S. was very helpful and helped him pick it up when it fell.
We had a busy but fun day! Let’s enjoy tomorrow as well!
